Macsumsuk Growfeed Research with Laying Chicken

The Gyeongngsangbuk-do Livestock Research Institute researched the effects of Growfeed from October 2010 to February 2011. The research was performed on chickens aged 21 to 28 weeks. The experiment compared a control group which did not receive the Growfeed (E.G. Power) mineral to an experimental group which received 0.5% of Growfeed (E.G. Power) mineral added to their diet. The experiment was performed on 50 laying chickens in each of the two groups. Results of the Experiment The experimental group showed improvement in the feed conversion rate and rate of broken- eggs. The crude fat content of the experimental group was significantly lower by 12.5% than that of the control group, and the crude protein content also improved. The control group showed higher saturated fatty acid content, and the unsaturated fatty acid content of the experimental group greatly improved.
